Description

This series consists of three 50–60-minute modules on the topic of team engagement and practices, actions, and strategies leaders can employ. There are several ‘levers’ of engagement leaders can employ with their teams including the (initial) two – Empowerment and a building A Positive, Constructive Work Climate in the series.  

Module 1 sets the stage(introduces) the focus of the Engagement Matters: Key Levers series. It frames (defines) engagement practices at the team level – where leaders have influence and can amplify organizational strategies. at the importance of team engagement and the leader’s influence.

Please note: Modules 1 has a short pre-training day assignment/reading. 

 

Objectives

  • Defining engagement and the leader’s influence – i.e., engagement at the team level.
  • Understanding the importance of engagement, disengagement drivers, and the negative implications of those drivers.
  • Recognizing the role leaders can play in supporting and amplifying positive engagement practices – and overarching actions/strategies to do so.
