Description
This series consists of three 50–60-minute modules on the topic of team engagement and practices, actions, and strategies leaders can employ. There are several ‘levers’ of engagement leaders can employ with their teams including the (initial) two – Empowerment and a building A Positive, Constructive Work Climate in the series.
Module 2 Engagement and empowerment have a connection/are interconnected. Levers of engagement - including empowerment - contribute structure and forward motion to building team engagement. This module focuses on several examples (practices, strategies) of the engagement-empowerment connection in the team culture setting.
Please note: Modules 2 has a short pre-training day assignment/reading.
Objectives
- The value of empowerment as an engagement lever.
- Key types/bases of leadership power/influence/control within the concept of empowerment.
- Strategies for empowerment practices including ‘shared’ decision-making, space for choices, delegation, and contributor safety.
