Topics include understanding Medicaid Streams of Funding and Documentation Basics. Additionally, the learner will be able to accurately complete an Incident Report, a Healthcare Chronological, an Appointment Information Record, a Community Living Support Log, and common Data Sheets. This course will instruct learners on how to identify who qualifies as an individual with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) and how to fulfill their legal responsibilities to assist individuals with LEP. It provides foundational principles of developing and strengthening supportive relationships as a strategy to reduce challenges and build a foundation for growth and healing. Emphasis on elements that can lead to others feeling safer and more valued, how one’s trauma history can influence behavior, planning proactively to reduce stress and challenges, the value of supporting all involved, key strategies and coping strategies for addressing challenging behavior, and effective ways to maintain a caring and supportive approach in the face of these challenges.
